One of the many joys of sleeping in a camper trailer is the places it can take you and the wonderful experiences you can have. After a hard days driving and exploring it is important to get a good nights sleep ready for the next day.
Made to Measure Mattresses have specifically designed a mattress for camper trailers - the low profile mattress - as it is lower in height but high in comfort. The overall height is 150mm / 6 inches. It is lighter in weight than standard mattresses and has air vents along each side to reduce heat and moisture. It is single sided with the underside using a rubber based backing. The worry of packing away wet canvas is eliminated using our low profile mattress as it is breathable through the sides, top and underside.
The low profile 150mm mattress is available in medium or firm comfort level. A softer mattress - Superior - is available but at the slightly higher height of 190mm. If you would like a top of the range pillowtop mattress, padded on one side only to keep the height down, it is 210mm.
When we were designing the low profile mattress comfort was our priority. We believe if the springs can be felt through the top of the mattress, it will not be a comfortable mattress. People asked us for a mattress lower than 150mm but we felt strongly that we would not compromise on comfort. Using 100mm spring, anything less than 50mm of padding is insufficient for a good nights sleep.
Most camper trailer mattresses are a standard double or queen size but we can make a mattress to suit your requirements, including cut corners. At Made To Measure Mattresses, we make your mattress to your requirements. Our standard size chart will give you a guide to the nearest standard size and we only charge you the size nearest your measurements, we don't charge extra for non standard sizes.
When you are ready to order your made to measure mattress just take your measurements and give us a call. If you are replacing an existing mattress, measure the mattress rather than the area it fits into, so you get the perfect fit. If you are measuring the base, remember to allow a couple of extra centimetres to tuck in sheets and blankets.
